Property Taxes
The
City's fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th. Property taxes become due and payable on August 1, and delinquent
on September 1. The City Council establishes the municipal tax rate, but municipal property values are assessed by the
Anderson County Property Assessor. Residential property is taxed at 25% of the
County tax appraisal, and commercial property is taxed
at 40% of the County tax appraisal.
