Many experienced anglers consider the Clinch River
below the 265 ft. high Norris Dam to be one of the
finest trout fisheries in the Country.

A small weir dam divides the river immediately adjacent to
Norris into two distinctly different water environments. The
section above the weir dam provides fishermen in boats,
canoes a deeper water to fish. The section below the weir
dam provides the more shallow cascading water preferred
by fly fishermen in waders.

There are many access points to enjoy fishing and boating
activities on the Clinch.
