Enjoy food trucks, live music by Small Wars, inflatables, face painting, lawn games and plenty of community fun for all ages.
 
Bring a blanket or chair (and a picnic if you’d like!) and we’ll supply the rest. And don’t forget—the Norris Fire Department will close out the evening by spraying down the young at heart.
 
Free & open to the whole community!

The annual deer hunt draw will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the drawing will begin at 2:00 p.m. Chosen individuals must pay $20 to receive a permit. 110 Archery permits will be available. 75 shotgun/muzzleloader permits will be available.
The 2026 hunt dates are as follows:
Archery Hunt: October 10–18
The watershed gates will be open for vehicle access for scouting on October 9.
Shotgun/Muzzleloader Hunt: November 21–29
The watershed gates will be open for vehicle access for scouting on November 20.
Youth Hunt: December 12–13
35 Youth Hunt permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. More details to come at a later date.
The Norris Municipal Watershed is open year-round, and hunters may enter on foot to scout at any time. Hunters do not need to wait until the day before a scheduled hunt to scout.
Vehicle access is limited to designated periods. Hunters wishing to drive into the watershed for scouting must wait until the gates are opened on the day before the Archery Hunt and the Shotgun/Muzzleloader Hunt.

At that time, a timeline was established for the submission of statements of interest for the vacancy. The deadline for submitting statements of interest was Monday, June 22, 2026.

City Council will consider an appointment to fill the vacancy at the July 13, 2026 Regular City Council meeting. The meeting will take place at 6:00 pm at the Norris Community Building, 20 Chestnut Drive. The public is invited to attend.
