The Norris Recreation Commission will hold a workshop at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd to discuss potential fundraising options for the Norris Sports Complex. 
The meeting will be held at the Norris Community Building, 20 Chestnut Drive. The public is invited to attend.

The City of Norris is pleased to announce the 2026 Concerts on the Commons series. This year’s lineup features five evenings of live music for the community to enjoy.
All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and will take place on the Norris Middle School stage adjacent to the Lion’s Club Pavilion.

• June 26 – Liquid Velvet
• July 4 – 110 in the Shade
• July 10 – Small Wars
Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music in a welcoming community setting.

Tickets are available for the Norris Little Theatre's production of the Red Velvet Cake War. 
Shows will be held on Friday, May 8th and Saturday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. with an additional show to be held on Sunday May 10th at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased on the following dates outside of the Norris Post Office:

• Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m
• Saturday, April 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m
• Saturday, May 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m

Beginning Monday, May 4, tickets will be available for purchase in the City Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15. Children 5 and under can get in for free.

The City of Norris is currently accepting applications for two seasonal summer employment opportunities. These positions offer a chance to gain hands-n work experience while contributing to the maintenance of City facilities and the operation of community recreation programs. Positions generally begin in late May and run through the summer.

Public Works Summer Crew
The Public Works Summer Crew assists City staff with a variety of outdoor projects and maintenance activities. Work may include trail and park maintenance, facility upkeep, landscaping, and other general labor supporting City infrastructure and natural areas. This position is well suited for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the care of Norris’s public spaces.

​Recreation Crew Leaders
Recreation Crew Leaders support the City’s summer recreation programming by helping plan and supervise activities for youth participants. Duties include leading games and crafts, monitoring activities for safety and appropriate behavior, and helping create a fun and welcoming environment for program participants.

• March 30, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. for discussion and consideration of selecting the Wastewater Regionalization Route

All meetings will take place at the Norris Community Building, 20 Chestnut Drive, Norris, TN 37828. The public is invited to attend.

The City of Norris will be conducting a Public Meeting on April 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Norris City Hall, 20 Chestnut Drive, Norris, Tennessee 37828. The purpose of this meeting is to present information on the City’s application for a State Revolving Fund loan in the amount of $250,000, $125,000 of which will be considered principal forgiveness, for a Stormwater Management Planning and Design project. The impact of this project on monthly user rates will be discussed.
