The City of Norris will be conducting a Public Meeting on April 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Norris City Hall, 20 Chestnut Drive, Norris, Tennessee 37828. The purpose of this meeting is to present information on the City’s application for a State Revolving Fund loan in the amount of $250,000, $125,000 of which will be considered principal forgiveness, for a Stormwater Management Planning and Design project. The impact of this project on monthly user rates will be discussed.

NOTE: The Animal Shelter Commission meeting scheduled for March 16th has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 18th @ 6:00 p.m. The City of Norris is seeking a dependable and organized individual to serve as a part-time Records Clerk in the Administration Department. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the City Recorder’s Office and serves as a key point of contact for residents seeking assistance with City services.
The Records Clerk will assist with front office operations, including answering phones and assisting visitors at the service window. The position also supports basic financial and records management functions such as preparing the City’s daily deposit, assigning accounts receivable to the appropriate revenue accounts, and filing municipal records. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with the public, able to manage routine administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, and capable of working both independently and as part of a small office team. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s degree in any field and/or experience working in an office environment is preferred. Compensation: This position pays $14.47 - $18.56 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, non-exempt position located at the Norris Community Building. This workshop is intended for design development purposes only and does not authorize or initiate construction activities at this time.
In accordance with the Regionalization Grant requirements, the design of the effluent force main is required. Discussion will focus on evaluating the proposed alignment alternatives, identifying design constraints, and confirming the preferred approach to allow the project to advance into the next phase of design.
