![]() On Thursday, January 23, we held a workshop to discuss the facility needs for the city of Norris. While a substantial crowd was in attendance, we recognize that there are still many interested residents who perhaps were not aware of the meeting, or had other obligations and could not attend that evening. Because of this, we are requesting feedback on the presentation from that evening. Before you dig into the presentation too much, we want to stress the importance of understanding our intended goal during the presentation’s development. After acknowledging our needs (as determined through discussions with department heads) we wanted to present a rough concept to get the ball rolling in this process. With this concept, our goal was to identify if there was a possible way of addressing the needs of the city while not expanding the footprints of our existing facilities (primarily due to cost and space limitations). We want to stress that the concept is not a recommendation, but merely a rough plan to get conversations started. We will be using the information from the workshop in January and collected moving forward to shape future potential concepts. Our plan is to continue tweaking the conceptual design until we feel confident enough to send out a request for architectural services. With that being said, please take the time to review the presentation and share your feedback by contacting Adam Ledford, City Manager at [email protected]. And be on the lookout for future meeting dates where we will discuss this topic further. Here is a link to the presentation. Comments are closed.
