In March 1954, the Norris City Council adopted a resolution outlining three broad management objectives for the Norris watershed. The Watershed Board is responsible for:
Overseeing the management and protection of the city's watershed.
Focusing on recreation, watershed protection, and timber production.
Plays a key role in developing and approving a master plan for the watershed, ensuring its sustainable use, and collaborating with other city departments for effective management.
