2023 Archery and Shotgun/Muzzle Loader Hunt Information
Norris Watershed Archery and Muzzleloader Information:
- August 9. Lottery Drawing for Hunt Permits. Registration and drawing will take place in the large multipurpose room at Norris Community Center. Registration will begin at 12:00pm EDT and end at 2:00pm EDT. Actual drawing and collection of permit fees will begin at 2:30pm EDT. Any permits left following the archery drawing will be sold, on a first come/first serve basis immediately following the drawing. Cost is $20 per ticket.
- October 14 - 22 Archery Hunt. To facilitate scouting and hunter access for placement of stands or removing harvested game, gates on both ends of High Point, Boundary/Foresters, and Red Hill Trails will be opened by 8:30am EDT on Friday, October 13, and remain open through the hunt. Thereafter, all gates will be closed by 8:30am EDT on Monday, October 23.
- November 18 - 26 Shotgun/Muzzle Loader Hunt. To facilitate scouting and hunter access for placement of stands or removal of harvested game, gates on both end of High Point, Boundary/Foresters, and Red Hill Trails will be opened by 8:30am EST on Friday November 17, and remain open through the hunt. Thereafter, all gates will be closed by 8:30am EST on Monday, November 27.
